Hide Not Your Eyes

Reading:   Leviticus 20

It's only been a couple of chapters but the grievous transgression of idol worship is brought up again, especially concerning the evils of Moloch worship and the need to swiftly eradicate such barbarism...

LEVITICUS 20:4-5
4 And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and kill him not:

5 Then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people.
There is also mention in this chapter, as in previous chapters, of wizardry and familiars and the evils surrounding such practices.  They too require the swift reaction of the people as prescribed for those engaged in Moloch worship - the sentence of death.  Quarter shall not be given...death is the only recourse and if the people turn away from the actions of those engaged in such practices: justifying, fearing, feigning ignorance, whatever the case, they too will suffer the ultimate wrath of God.

Moloch worship and witchcraft must have been a real issue for these people?

I was going to wrap the idea of ignoring crimes today around this blog but I Am at a loss - too mentally exhausted, sorry.
